Earthquake jolts Jammu Kashmir, Delhi; Super Moon effect?

Srinagar, Mar 21: Many astrologer had earlier warned the world that the nature wrath is on cards over Super Moon effect which was seen on Saturday, Mar 19. But now when all have already forgotten the rumours and overcome the furies; an earthquake, indeed, jolted Jammu Kashmir and the national capital.

An earthquake with 5.7 magnitude was observed in several parts of the valley while a temblor with low intensity was felt in New Delhi on Monday, Mar 21.

Spokesperson from the local weather office stated, "'An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit Srinagar and other parts of the valley at 3.19 pm."

The spokesperson also informed, "The quake was of moderate intensity with its epicentre in the Hindukush region at latitude 36.5 degrees north and longitude 17.9 degrees east."

Despite low intensity temblor, earthquake hysteria has spreaded among the people as people are well aware of Japan's devastating situation followed by massive earthquake and tsunami. More than 10,000 people were reportedly dead in the country.

Earlier media reports had claimed that the Earth could be headed for a big showdown within a few days following huge storms, earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters. Super Moon was reportedly the cause of devastation.

Extreme Super Moon - is the newly coined term hit the web when a noted astrologer who runs the website astropro.com, has famously termed full moon (Saturday, Mar 19) at lunar perigee (the closest approach during its orbit).
