Two months ago when the trailer of Dum Maaro Dum was launched on-screen, the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) were unhappy about the film and filled a case against the film's release claiming that the film is showing the state in a bad light, which will affect the travel and tourism of Goa.
Rohan Sippy added, “The film doesn't imply that Goa is the worst place to visit or anything negative; it is just a character of my film. In Bluffmaster, I had already explored Mumbai, so I choose Goa because I wanted to explore the scenic beauty of the place which is world-known. It's the best place, it's a paradise on earth and with its beauty, I wanted to bring some thrill. I found scope of creating drama and it has left a stunning visual effect on me and will on my audience too."
Rohan Sippy says that he believes in India and the beauty that it holds. Dum Maaro Dum is purely shot in India and has captured the beauty of India. The director says that he doesn't believe in the concept of shooting abroad.
Sippy informs that as soon as Shridhar Raghavan wrote the film, they went to Gos to finalize the locations for their shooting. The director says that the film is high on entertainment and has a lot of suspense and dark thrill, which will keep the audience glued to the screens. The film will narrate three stories enacted by Prateik Babbar, Abhishek Bachchan and Rana Daggubati.
Speaking about the hot item number Dum Maaro Dum featuring Deepika Padukone, Rohan Sippy said that the item song was planned earlier, but later it was felt that the script needs a peppy number to create the hip look. He also added, "It helps to create an early buzz for your film."
The film Dum Maaro Dum is releasing on April 22. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Rana Daggubati and Prateik Babbar among others.
